On the 14th of November this year we were proud to announce our appointment as the antenna office for Madrid Investment Attraction in the UK. Our role is an exciting one as we will work alongside the experts in Madrid Investment Attraction in showcasing all the opportunities that exist for companies ready to begin their expansion from the UK into the Southern European and Latin American market.
A foggy day in London town didn’t put our guests off as they were warmly welcomed to Level39 in the heart of the city by Louisa Criscenti-Brown, Director of How2Go UK Ltd. Faustino Diaz Vice-General Director of Investment Attraction and Internationalisation for Madrid Investment Attraction, began his presentation with an overview of the reasons Madrid is ready to accommodate new investors into the city and all the assistance his organisation is able to offer these companies.
We were honoured to host the current Vicealcaldesa (Deputy Mayor) of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, who shared her passion for the city and its opportunities and then joined in a panel discussion lead by Ignacio Bartolome, Director of How2Go Worldwide. This panel included Oliver Calma of BC Remit, a company actively pursuing expansion into Madrid, with a keen eye on the route into Latin America which Madrid offers, and lawyer Ignacio Morillas from Coleman Coyle whose experience of helping UK companies successfully navigate the path into Southern European grown provided much insight for our guests.
An informative and social evening closed with the opportunity to network as the delegation of visitors from Madrid were able to meet with some of the attendees attending on behalf of their UK companies.
If you were unable to join us for this event, we have put together some at a glance information about why Madrid should be top of your list when considering international expansion below.
