As part of its strategy to become established in the Latin American market, Hocelot contracted support from How2Go to open new business opportunities in Latin America. Its primary objective was the promotion of their portfolio of augmented analytical solutions focusing on the financial, security and retail sectors in Colombia. Winning the award for best Spanish Big Data company in 2019 had proven their quality - what they needed was access to contacts of the highest level in Latin American countries.
How2Go selected a virtual business agenda as the service which would bring the most impact in the short term. Owing to the high level of contacts and companies required. the agenda used the How2Go network of Colombian companies and contacts, who received a preview presentation of Hocelot's services to validate their interest. Thanks to this, Hocelot’s agenda was exclusively made up of meetings with decision-makers at companies who had the potential to generate business. The meetings were always accompanied by the How2Go team to support them with local cultural knowledge and to generate a message of confidence for the potential client by having a local contact supporting the project continuously.
A long list was generated of the main companies in each of the target sectors: health, finance, security, public services, retail and telecommunications.
Hocelot verified 41 of these contacts as of high-interest. From identifying the decision-maker in each organisation and showing an initial preview of the portfolio on offer, meetings were organised with those who had shown real interest.
As a result of this work, successful meetings were held with 8 companies, in which high-level profiles such as CEO, CFO and Chief Data & Analytics Officer were present. Among the companies were one of the largest business groups in Latin America, two of the 10 most important banks in the continent, and the TOP 3 Colombian media, insurance and telecommunications companies.
